How much does the boat weigh?

The hull weighs just 40 kilo's. Therefore, it is easy for even a small child to manouvre on shore and afloat.

Can I sail the Taz by myself?

Yes, as long as you weigh at least five stone, you can sail on the TAZ on your own.

Can I sail the Taz with a friend or with my parents?

The TAZ has a simple main and jib for two up sailing or can be sailed singlehanded. The deceptively spacious cockpit area has just as much space and capacity as more expensive models. A child as light as 30kgs can handle the TAZ. On the other hand, the maximum capacity is up to 150kgs allowing an adult and child to sail together comfortably.

Can I put the Taz on the roof of my car?

Yes, the TAZ is one of the lightest sailing dinghies around weighing in at just 40kgs. But please check the weight limitation of your car's roofbar. Every car and car roof bar have a recomended limit.

What colours are available?

The current hull colour's are Lime & White or Granite White.

Does the Taz come with a main sail and a jib sail as standard?

Yes, the standard version of the TAZ comes complete with two sails, a main and jib.

Can the Taz be sailed without the jib?

Yes, the TAZ can be sailed with or without the jib. It's your choice.

What is the difference between the standard TAZ and the Race TAZ?

The Race version has a clear Mylar sail like a windsurfer which is slightly more powerful. The standard sail is made of Dacron and is a slightly more hardwearing.

Is the mast two piece?

Yes, the mast comes in two pieces so that the boat can be stowed away as neatly as possible.
